Research and Design of the Art Work – Malta Visual and Performing Arts School

Since we planned on having the students do all the work, we tried to involve the Art students in doing the Artwork for the production. The problem was that since the Art students and teachers were not going to be included in the group going to San Remo for the final Performance (because of financial problems), many were disheartened. They found the exercise useless unless they were part of the team going to San Remo. It was impossible to include all the Art and Media students and teachers to go to San Remo, so the Drama, Dance and Music students worked on the performance, and tried to rely as little as possible on artwork and media.

However, an exercise on designing a poster for the event was done by the Music, Dance and Drama students and some very colourful ideas took place. In the end the artwork was only an exercise because it was not used at all.
