The Target Competences and Learning Approach – Malta Visual and Performing Arts School

The Life Comp model was very helpful for teachers to guide students to become competent and share their different visions. Theatre is a very good vehicle to present students with the right opportunities to get to know and practice this model. Drama and Theatre works a lot on the three main areas: Personal, Social and Learning to learn areas. Emotions are the basis of most of the Theatre works and all the Arts works and emotions are also the basis of the Life Comp Model. Practising self-control, understanding and sharing with others while at the same time accepting different views are the three main competences that students practised and became more familiar with. They understood better the importance of these competences and had them practised and tested through the action-reaction process.
